_mer__ 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Every time I visit this website and look at the pictures I am just amazed. I am a new photographer. I am starting to learn by looking at these masterpieces. For this particular picture, I would like to say that it's a first for me. Is this taking by a camera? If yes, how do you give this kind of a painting effect? Photoshop? Man! I mean... Nice work! yavuztumer 0 Posted November 22, 2004 I like the disturbing, but somehow pleasurable surrealistic sense in your photos, including this one. Link to comment

muenchphoto 0 Posted October 31, 2006 honestly I have to say that I don?t like this picture very much. just like 80% of the so-called "top-ten" pictures on photo.net this "photo" is not anymore a photo but a artificial product of photoshop. You do have extremly good pictures in your portfolio and I think you are especially talented in shooting pictures in perfect light conditions. this picture is too much edited with photoshop. I think you should stick to achieve good pictures by using light, composing and experimenting with techniques, less then with photoshop and following this trend that every good picture is a dodged and burned photo that has nothing to do with capturing real-life moments. well thats just my humble opinion but I like to say it because I don?t support this post-edit-products showed here all the time. I would love to see the original photos! of course photoshop or post-editing has got its place with photography but I think it depends on the situation. For sure, because this photo is in your "creative" part and therefore ment to be an experiement. But I think this picture would have been much nicer and more powerfull in B/W and a decent use of light to transit its massge. It reminds me aswell to Muenchs "der Schrei", which is very very good done. For me its just too sad, that you changed a good photo in photoshop to a picture that can?t be seriously called a photo. best wishes, marcel Link to comment
hique 0 Posted October 31, 2006 Too much. I don't quite see why it would be creative. Uncreative from my point of view. Very normal picture with lots of shadow/highlight. Very beautiful and well made, but not creative. Link to comment
vison 0 Posted November 1, 2006 It doesnt really matter if you call this picture creative or not. Some people tend to get bothered by the use of photoshop on Photo.net. This is just one angle on photography that I choose to use to take my pictures to a level that I want. Why is this picture not bright, B&W, or taken with a flash? Because Its not ment to be a beautiful portrait, I did not make it to impress someone. This picture is purely an expression of a mindstate I was in at the certain time I made it. Thank you for your comments ! Link to comment
heru 0 Posted August 27, 2007 Very Great picture, stunned yet, saddening portraying a life of some young child. 7/7 NO DOUBT. Link to comment
