Pat Rafter hitting a backhand during the 2001 Australian Open.

This image wastaken from the catwalk of the Rod Laver Arena, home of the Australian Tennis Open. In the late afternoon, the shadow from the stadium extends across the court. With the help of pushing the film to increase contrast, the backgrounds can go near black creating an interesting backdrop. Then it's a matter of waiting for the player to come into the viewfinder and hit the approriate shot.
