Nice picture. I thin this photo needs to be seen MUCH larger than a web shot allows. All the detail gets lost of the wood.

it will be better if you reduce thinks in the photo. Remenber minus sometimes is more

If cropped just below the tiny branch off the upright limb, it would return concentration to the massive dead tree and the beautifulbackground image

a nice black/white composition

The wood works to segment the image and bring the eye to the various parts. A crop would enhance it. A bit of careful doding on the right field in the background would also help.

As Aaron noted, I like the way the tree limbs divide up the picture space and I like the placement of the framed tree in the background. I don't think a crop is required though - I think the vibrant, sun-lit foliage in the foreground has a nice feel to it. Overall this photo has a nice sense of being there while maintaining a strong an d cohesive graphical structure.
