I would have liked it more if she was looking at the camera, or at least had her head up.

Great! Contrary to Pamela, I think the focus of the model on adjusting her boots is a classic and feminine look. It makes the image less confronting than a direct gaze, which would invite the feeling "what are you looking at?" (to me anyway!).

 

I would like to be able to see both eyes though :-)

Nice shot with a good angle, especially if you were tyring to peddle the boots. I only recommend cloning out the vertical post and prominent sticks behind the model.

good lines ( stairs) to kead ones eye to the sunject...natural pose directing the viewers eyes to " these walking boots"!
