wild red tailed hawk Blood lust

A red-tailed hawk on its kill, a rabbit. The pose and the way the

light caught its eye as well as the blood on the beak makes it look

rather evil. Just a bit late for Halloween. Any comments or

suggestions for improvement greatly appreciated.

This is a beautiful shot, lucky you for having such a resident in your area! I agree with you on backlight. I have yet to see this bird on the ground when I have a camera. I used to have a coopers hawk on my street that was kind enough to pose for me, unfortunatley it was when I had my 3mp no zoom p&s, so the pictures are less then desirable :(
