jay_patel 0 Posted November 9, 2004 The photograph was captured one evening after the storm was begining to clear over Columbia River Gorge. All ratings and comments are welcome. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted November 9, 2004 Jay well done -- and the Columbia rolled on.... Link to comment
phalvorson 0 Posted November 9, 2004 Wow, Incredible clouds! Overall this is great, and just what I expect from you. I might have burned the river a touch, it looks a bit light to me considering the grad. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 10, 2004 Nice spacious perspective Jay...and colour. And cloud structure..all we need is a barge and slightly sharper. 6/6 Link to comment

rajeevthomas 1 Posted November 10, 2004 Jay, you are called the most luckiest and patient man on earth, but I think you are a talented photographer...here you have captured some spectacular colors or what!! Wow...!!! It's been a long time since I saw anything from you!! 7/7 Link to comment

goutam_mitra1 0 Posted November 11, 2004 Beautiful moment and a perfect shot! It is all about timing, of which you have a tremendous sense. Link to comment
vincetylor 0 Posted November 11, 2004 This sort of reminds me of a wonderful dinner buffet! All sorts of beautiful things to look at. Initially I thought it might work better with less sky, but in reality, that is what makes it stand out as unique in my opinion. The lighting is indeed golden, and composition is exceptional! Great work here. Link to comment
ketchemr 0 Posted November 11, 2004 Wow, Jay, very nicely done. The glow on the cliff and clouds is beautiful. Vincent is right. The sky really completes this image. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted November 12, 2004 I love this one. Looking at it makes me feel like I'm standing there. Link to comment

carsten_ranke 0 Posted November 14, 2004 Superb colors, gorgeous sky ! Compositionwise nothing to improve, excellent landscape. The ND filter darkens the hilltop on the right (surely a minor point). Congrats, Carsten Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted November 14, 2004 It is not the ND filter that darkens the top of the mountain, but rather a cloud blocking the light. Big puffy clouds behind me were sporadically blocking the light on parts of the scene (similar to the shadow between Crown Point and Columbia River Gorge). Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted November 17, 2004 This one fits my mood so well...dramatically divided...so much beauty and yet darkness still lurks in the distance. Hope you have a successful trip and feed my appetite for more such wonders. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 21, 2004 the plain river has destroyed this image. although the sky looks spectacular. Link to comment
Jenifer Selwa Photography 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Great capture of some dramatic light and color, Jay! Link to comment
WJT 653 Posted November 28, 2004 I don't see why everyone is going ga-ga over this. So you got a great sky and color. So you got a great location and composition. You always take great photographs. So what's all the hoopla about? Regards. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Great sky and nice lighting makes this stand out. The water lacks detail, but otherwise this works for me. Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted January 14, 2005 Thanks for your inputs...I checked the original image and realized that indeed there was textures and color to the water that I had accidentally removed. I replaced the original version with the corrected one. :-)) Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted July 1, 2005 This wonderful image has a surreal quality to it as if taken in another world. Any hobbits cross your path? Link to comment
