johncrosley 1 Posted June 30, 2005 As suggested above, more depth of field for definition of the flower's leftmost part would have helped transform this very good photo into an excellent one. Even by slightly 'opening up' your aperture, you still could 'isolate' the background. (Note: Beware of your background -- see my presentation on the subject. You might have been able to raise your viewpoint a little bit and outlined this honeybee with the green (and orange) background entirely -- it's less effective with what appears to be blue sky in the background, and then not level (horizontal). But that is a 'professional' point and one to consider at the highest levels, as this photo shows near mastery of your technique. Respectfully, John Link to comment
