Did you create the design? If not, I don't see the point in posting a picture of it since we're not rating your work, but someone elses.

Based on your comment ... Literally, there are no subjects that you or I created ourselves. We did not create the sunset, or the still life subject matter, or the beautiful model!! Therefore, based on your comment, why would we as photographers post any photo we shoot??? Your comment seems a little silly - don't you think??

That's a bit too much of a generalization, although I think this is usefull debate.. It seems to me, as a photographers, we want to put more of ourselves into the image where, depth of field, creative framing, exposure, are our value added elements we bring to the capture. Expressions of the subjects, light, reflections, caught in time show an ability to capture the essence or moment of an event.

No hard feelings intended here, just a healthy discussion !!

This was the logo on a Chicago fire truck. I thought it was a great logo so I captured the image from the truck. I did have to edit the logo because a chrome handle was covering part of the image. I framed it and then presented it as part of a "Street" image with the title "Engine Thirteen - Chicago Fire Department".

I completely understand your comments and agree, however, I do believe that this image fits into that criteria.

I really do appreciate your view point and believe me, do not consider this image one of my best. I do believe that it is an excellent representation of the Chicago Fire Department's Engine Thirteen and the attitude of it's crew.

Again, thanks for simply taking the time to share your comments - I wish more photographers on this site would do the same as you have done.

ps - In my portfolio, under the people catagory, there are two other images of the same incident in which the fire department and the police were called out. Two Chicago Police Officers (that I would not want to mess with) and a tough guy from the Chicago Fire Department Scuba Team.
