What a face and what an expression! Had a hard time getting here because the "interesting people" has been disabled. So I am now saving everyone in my personal favorites. Heck with PN. Anyway, I like what you've captured here. Interesting the shape of the catch lights in his eyes. Kind of triangular. Good job!

Lighting technique, photoshop work etc, framing is fine, just trying to work out if the highlighting is on purpose, accidental etc. On my monitor the young blokes forehead and under his eyes are very blown out. There nothing wrong with this of course if thats the look you were after, If this is the case I would suggest maybe retaking the shot (if possible) with his hands lower away from his face, as I think they take away from the shot a little.

Ooh. I see. Well this is my neighbor, and I caught him playin the constrauction site of the house going up next to mine. So I grabbed my camera ( He likes the camera ... lol ) and a reflector. I was gonna ask him to get in the shade, and I could use my reflector, but he was havin to much fun. So I didnt set out to get this shot. But I liked the blown out spots, and kinda 'enhanced' them in PS. I also increased the contrast, after a brightened it up a bit. and used the burning tool to bring out freckels, eyes and eyebrows. I'm hopin he will let me take some more. Im 15, and started in photography about a year ago. Thanks for all your help:)

I have looked at the image a few times now trying to work out how it could be improved. Knowing now that you were going for the high key effect I think you have sort of gone half way between, I do like the effect though, it is quite different and looks more like natural lighting than digitally enhanced. I stick by the hands, I can't get past them, to me they do take away from the image a little. One other thing that I think will improve the image and maybe take the viewers eye away from the hands is the left eye. The right eye is sharp and quite dark, while the left is lighter and not as sharp, I would maybe go back to PS and see if you can match them up a little more and see how that looks. You have a good eye by the look so keep it up, I look forward to seeing more from you.
