Viaduct of Meaux (France) - September 3rd, 2004, in the morning. It

is still under construction.

Excellent composition and angle on this one. The fog really adds to the architectural effect of this one. Good pic!

Thank you all for your comments. I will surely try to revisit when it's done. But not sure I'll get the same conditions (morning + fog).

For the record this is the world's heaviest pushed viaduct, and its concrete/steel structure is unprecedented. Though it is finished, it will open to road traffic in 2006.

Just chance I believe... I worked 5 weeks on this project and saw that hazy/sunny situation for only 2 days.

Axel, I realy like this shot. I first thought it was in the water. The lines moving into the fog works well and gives it a sense of just going to some mystical place. Mark W.

Alex,

It's a great photo! Anyway, it remains me a bit of the last one I posted here at photo.net. I miss a certain punch in it. I know, it's your work and it's absolutely up to your aesthetics, but have you considered converting it into B&W? It may give you a way to increase contrast between softness of fog and geometrical shape of sunlit columns. A warm and sharp yellow vs. mellow foggy blue would work even better, but some serious filtering when taking picture would be needed IMHO to achieve this and preserve shadow details.

Please, don' get me wrong, I really like the picture!

Thanks so much for your comment on my riverwalk shot...I hadn't even posted it yet, so I was surprised that you found it! :~) I just took a long look at your port, and really enjoyed it! This shot is my favorite, and I agree with Mark...I thought from the thumbnail that this was a bridge over water! Beautiful! Leslie

The mist adds a mysterious and intriguing touch.  The sweeping curve is very appealing and inviting.
