Poverty and Hunger is not very uncommon in the beautiful world we live and lead. Very often these subjects have become the means to earn fame and money with out attracting our attention towards the depth. What is the meaning of the caption, it is whose fear and whose sorrow and for what?????

this is awesome. magnificent shot. 7/ 7 4 the origionality & a deeply emotional image, though i find bright area behind the left arm a bit distracting. despite the title " fear & sorrow " there's a strange kind of mystic contentment in the misery ridden eyes of this grand subject. i'ven't seen that in most of the elite eyes i meet almost daily.

the man was sitting on the stairs leading to Jama Masid Mosque in Delhi, he looked miserable. It was not easy to me to photograph him, there were many people around and people looked at me. It took me quite some time to force myself to point my camera at him... It is the only picture I took. There is something special in his eyes, I know I'd regret if I didn't take this picture.

and the title? that's how I interpret his pose and expression, that's all.

For me, I find his eyes so full of emotion and expression that I feel drawn by my own preconceived emphathy of the emotion I imagine him to be feeling. This makes me feel very arrogant, ignorant and selfcentered.

Please tell me, in some small way you were able to help this person. Or, you were able to get a story from him of who he is and how he came to be in the person you met in that moment?

As for your photograph, it is a very emotional portrait which has great potential for touching many people in many ways.

I don't know about Fear and Sorrow. But it is definitely malnutrition -- perhaps because of dire poverty. This is a beautiful photo of a not so beautiful (but pretty much global) phenomenon.
