nher 0 Posted November 5, 2004 Hi Roger. It is nice to have back in PN. I see you have been to USA. When is your turn to come to Europe, (Spain included),? I hope you like my shots about OZ. This one of your is really goos, spetially the fall colors. Best regards!! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted November 5, 2004 I love these colors even more than the brilliant reds and yellows earlier in the season....the light was so subtle that day through the warm rust and saffron leaves...Absolutely exquisite! 7/7 (PS When can I borrow the Mr. Blad again?) Link to comment
johnz 0 Posted November 5, 2004 Wonderful shot and fantastic coloring Roger. I hate to say it but for some reason I think Linda is prejiduce :-) In your New England series I think this is one of your best. 7/6 Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted November 5, 2004 Beautiful, simple shot. You have a wonderful collection from this time of year! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted November 5, 2004 Yes John, it is true, there is a bit of "home advantage" here indeed....and Sarah, thanks for the kind words ! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 7, 2004 Nice colors here, Roger. Quite a cluttered scene with all the brush, but it works - I think because of the trees on the right side and the little stream in the middle. Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Beautiful, rich and warm in the colors. The fall ain't always nice ... but here it is. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Kim, tried to make a bit of sense out of the clutter, but in the end, just dealt with it the best I could...just loved the warmth of this...Hans and Bente, so glad to have you stop by, my browser will not let me see all of my favorites right now, so it is hard to tell who has done what, but now I will visit, with the link you have just given me, again, thank you ! Guest Guest Posted November 9, 2004 I can almost hear the water peacefully bubbling along... :-) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 9, 2004 Hi Roger, the minimal palette really works here. It is quite beautiful. Were you on a bridge? Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted November 12, 2004 I see beech and hickory here, among others, Roger. So it seems that you have fallen under the spell of the northern hardwood forest. (It's nice, isn't it? This far south I typically have to go up to 2,000 feet to find it.) This is my idea of heaven--woods that you can walk through until the snow gets so deep that you have to wear snowshoes. Very nice work. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Roger, hello! Its been so long since I have made an appearance that thought I would stop in and catch up. I understand you got married?!! Geez, I'm behind the times. Congrats! Can I continue to make BEER comments without getting you in trouble? Because this photograph would really go well with a cold BEER while leaning back against one of those trees and watching the leaves float by. This is one purty image! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Just next to a bridge, and near a Swedish Sauna built by the side of the road by one of the locals, the stream being needed to cool off, I would guess ! Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted November 12, 2004 Boy, Roger, does this look better on "Larger"! The compression effects really do a number on that Hassey's resolution on the smaller version. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Mate, you should see the print ! Getting very poor results with the scanner in use here, and we are in the mood to improve that problem soon ! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Seasons....New England has Seasons, not to be found in Oz ! This last gasp of Autumn was taken last weekend, warm and cozy by the fire now, I watch the first flakes of snow falling...and dream of the Tropics ! Link to comment
arnab chakrabarti 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Lovely composition! And yes, I was also wondering whether it is your scanner or jpeg compression that was blurring details. A person who takes pictures like this and has a Hasselblad, should certainly upgrade the lousy scanner :) Regards, Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Thank you for your time and oppinions, very true, we have gone Digital...may help a bit ! Link to comment
