Molding from the Old 1896 Austin County Jail House. I love visiting

Bellville, Tx. Every where you turn there are old buildings and

houses just as this old 1896 jail house. Bellville is always quiet,

peacefull, with that old time charm and feeling.

Please tell me what you think.

Dana...In many "good" pics When you look at them your Eye Falls into a "Track" of sorts and it leads you to the Main point of interest this picture leads you in differant directions & you end up looking back & forth between the two (Arch, Corner design) I call this a "divided point of interest". if you can go back to the building try slightly differant angles.

when you look at a picture "replay" where your eyes went. Go to the gallery enlarge A variety of picture & do it on about 30 pictures, and note and "replay" wear your eyes go. some pictures will draw you in to one important spot some will open into a wide aray. light, dark, contrast all play an important part. it is not the only thing that makes a picture good but when your interest is divided you don't get that "content" feeling from the Picture. In this Picture if the earthquake reinforcement bolt was the Key subject it would be better

I hope this is helpful your Photo Friend Scott

Yes very much Scott. If only everyone else had left a comment. Thank you. I was looking at the detail of how well every thing came out and not the position. It will be about a month before I go back But I will look because I did take a good bit of photos while I was there. Again thank you Scott.

I believe in many cases it is the essential key that Distinguishes the "good pic" from the "focused clear well lighted Average Photo"
