Pleasent very winterlike shot. excellent light and colors. Tower maybe could stand out a little more.

The photoshop here just ruined my newest 6/7 film, spared my best shots of the past weeks for it so I did expect something! (all black) Also missed a modelsession, so it was a dreadfull photoweek....

Bartek, thanks for dropping by.

Alexandra, thanks for your wonderful comments which I appreciate.

Hans, Oh no! Sounds like a catalogue of disasters! My sympathies though I have never had a lab totally ruin anything yet. Though come to think of it I used to take shots of 'listed' buildings (usually old or special for some reason). These are protected against being knocked down etc. I expect you have a similar thing in Holland. Well I volunteered (along with a couple of thousand other people) to go round as many of these as I could for 'English Heritage' who decide what is listed and what is not. They managed to lose 4 (out of 12) films - 35 x 4 = 140 properties, all needed to be found, permission to photograph obtained, shot taken, written up, sent off... About 3 months spare time work I reckon!!!! aaaaarrgh!

Colin, I agree, your experience is even worse! :-) we have such a thing in holland. We call them monuments here, actually we give them the state of "monument". We maybe should open an AAAAAARRGH page ?

Winter light, but wonderful saturated colours. Great angle, to get all of that in and no disturbing elements. Very detailed and sharp too.

Canilla, thanks, Getting it all in was a problem as I had to squeeze nto tight corner of the churchyard to get far enough away.

Hans brilliant idea! We could have an 'A' rating for aaarrgh?! when it is somebody else's fault and an 'O' for Ooops!! rating when it is self-inflicted. Such as the guy who dropped his expensive lens down the waterfall etc! (That wasn't me this time!)

Very pretty landscape with magnificent light. Excellent composition with the lines of the shadows which lead the eye towards the subject.

Hi Colin like the shot.If I may add to the other obs. This is a very small building and difficult to work round. the feature is the upright oak to the left and right ot the door.Of interest is the fact that a number of crosses are carved in those pillars. most complete and the story goes that in the crusades the crusaders would carve the down stroke of the cross and on return would carve the cross piece, there are some carved downstrokes only which indicated that that crusader did not return from battle. It is still used as a place of worship and is the oldest wooden church in england i believe . ! 100% work Colin well done regards miken
