Looks to me to me an attempt to rescue a lousy image, technically speaking. Others will disagree.

David: can you give me a hint as to how to improve the original image? Is it composition or just a bad choice of subject?

 

I didn't think of it as an attempt to "rescue" the shot; I take many, many pictures, discard most of them and enjoy playing with the rest afterwards!

 

I agree this isn't a brilliant original photo, but thought this was an interesting effect which grew on me the more I looked at it.

Though this photograph is looking good but I donot feel that PS is an art of photography. In PS anything can be done and this really takes away the credit of being a good photographar.
