tomsperduto 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Cottage adds the needed element IMO. Great shot. Link to comment
richardlowes 0 Posted November 2, 2004 Definitely. The cottage, the lights in the cottage, the tree's, the stars, a great composition. Link to comment
jason_eadie 0 Posted November 2, 2004 Great composition, great exposure. What where the exposure details? Link to comment
azriel_abramovich1 0 Posted November 2, 2004 IMHO, I think the cottage is good, though it is too bright. The red lights from it are in collision with the green flurecent of the sky. Also, there is a bothering line about the lower third of the sky. I think this image has great potential and captured my eye immediatly. It took some peckering to come up with this. But the red lights of the house are a real thing. Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted November 2, 2004 I do not agree with the previous comment: I like the red windows, without them, it would be a picture less interesting. It has the 3 primary colors, RGB, and the lighted house gives us a sense of scale. Very minimal. Link to comment
ivar olsen 0 Posted November 2, 2004 This one just makes me miss home like MAD! :-)) I'm from Bod, but moved to Ireland a few years back. This I haven't seen for ages. :-)) Really nice! Keep the cabin!!! Maybe a bit crop under it...+ some crop at the right of the aurora would be beneficial... just maybe! Stunning no matter what! :-)) Ivar 7/7 Link to comment
tomm 0 Posted November 2, 2004 Very special. The cabin makes it stand out from other similar shots of this light. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted November 3, 2004 maginificent picture! what beautiful colors and composition. but the most amazing thing is the placement of the thin cloud covering part of the aurora. that gives a much better idea of how huge it is. 7/7 Link to comment
m.h. 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Beautiful and magnificent. Without the cottage it wouldn't be as attractive as it gives a sense of the size to the boreal. Great work Link to comment
ryanleechow 0 Posted November 3, 2004 This image is great, the only thing I would do is remove the straight cloud that exists in the low middle of the image. IMO it is a bit distracting. In all a great photograph, with good exposure, and the cottage IMO makes the image stand out even more! Thanks for sharing Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Ryan not that your suggestion is good, IMHO it is that straight cloud which is serving as a reference to show see how high and how far the aurora really stretches. otherwise it may as well be equivalent on the scale of chimney smoke. just my thoughts. jana 1 Posted August 3, 2005 Ketil, I like th composition, only the cottage window is too bright and takes attention from the real star - the aurora. incredible, anyway !! thanks jana Link to comment
