take a photo on the beach at lunch break??? *wanders off grumbling about crazy editorial staff who decided they needed it yesterday but only emailed me now... HURRY!!*sat and planned for ten minutes... found four willing models on campus and half an hour later wandered back from a glacier rock outcropping above the campus as nobody including me had time to go to the lakesat and played in photoshop for twenty minutes to tweak and shamelessly add water reflections, the layout editor liked it immesily and voila...not a short effort... but i guess every day of newspaper work is this much fun? where do i sign and kiss my waking hours goodbye completely?

Nice moment. Clean and cool, Water don't add much. Crop to a horizontal and live in the moment. My drunken two cents that took me 10 minutes to write.

idunno it was a good creative challenge to get away with the shot without getting wet, my editor specified a beach scene, chillin on the rocks... in shorts in the middle of winter... so i found her water...

 

true enough horizontal would work better, but my newspaper has a vertical format for the front page... two advil and a litre of water will get rid of the hangover, take it easy
