2004-10-27 total phase of the lunar eclipse.

gaetanchevalier

Shot taken at 23:06 Eastern Daylight Time (3:06 U.T.) only 2 minutes after mid eclipse. Please view in the larger format.Expsure time: 2 seconds; F-number: 6.3; ISO: 200. This is quite difficult to take a photo of total lunar eclipse because the brightness of the fully eclipsed Moon is too unpredictable. My goal was to record much details as possible, so my decision to go to a 2 seconds photo.

I was tempted to try shooting the eclipse, but knew I wouldn't do it justice. You did, Gaetan. This will be a great image to do some composites with. I'm jealous. :)

You were lucky Gaetan. Here that night it was cloudy so I could not even try. Excellent! Regards

Great capture Gaetan! I tried to capture the eclipse but I didn't have a long enough lens to do it justice.
