Beached burnt stump

I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the American National Parks and once again i found myself more drawn toward the intimate landscape. I found this old waterlogged burnt stump marooned on some rocks mid stream on closer inspection I was astonished to see the artist palette of colours reflected in the charred wet wood. The blue is the sky above the yellow is the sunlight reflected from the new spring growth overhanging the river.
