erikj 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Does this shot work with her looking away, or does she just look distracted or disinterested? It was a beautiful windy day right after rain. The colors of the mountains were saturated and the sky as you can see was awesome. Link to comment
hogzilla 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Nice looking shot. I personally don't have any problem with her looking away from the lens. I also like the off center composition. You see the beautiful red rocks behinder her and it makes you believe she is taking in the view of something. It makes me imagine what she is feeling or thinking as she is looking away. There is an emotional pull to this image. I like it! Link to comment

prescott carlson 0 Posted October 27, 2004 My personal preference is if the subject is looking away, to have them at least look across the frame instead of out of it (in this case, she would be looking towards her blowing hair). But that's JMHO, and obviously highly subjective. On the photo overall, I like the lighting/DOF, and how she is separated from the background. Link to comment
erikj 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Thanks for the nice words, I do have a few with her looking across the frame, and at the camera, but her hair looks so cool in this one. Also, the sun was over there, so every time she looked in that direction she would squint. Link to comment
