What needs to be sharp, is sharp. This image is rather heavily balanced to the left, though.

rules r meant 2 b broken..despite a broad composition the image is a visual feast 4 the eye. stunning color & nicely mixed tones. butterfly's 2 small..but, we've become used 2 see macro work on such subjects. this is an unusual break from the established tradition..but a pleasent break. nice work, overall.

Superb harmony of colour, I think I'd like it equaly when cropped to landscape / square putting butterfly in bottom left, but nothing wrong with the way you've presented it here Cheers Ian

I like the composition- to leave open space on the right balances the details on the left. If the viewer will look at the whole photo carefully they will notice interest points are placed by the rule of thirds.

I think the composition is perfect and I can't think of a better place to position the butterfly (or is it a moth?) And its size is complementary to its habitat rather than dominating the image.
