Very nice panorama. The skull on the right side and the light on the left side is interesting. Heaven and Hell maybe? Death and Redemption? Most people would have oriented the skull to the left and the light to the right. Your choice, if it was a choice, is interesting.

You say you used nine horizontal panels. Possibly the image could be more stark and powerful if you used nine vertical panels. With those, you can capture the tops of the trees and the top of the monument on the right.

With the lack of overall color, this photo may also work well in contrasty black and white.

What do you think?

thank you, Pradeep, for your comment. Sunlight orientation was not my choice: the skull looks towards east, therefore the light came from its front-right that and every morning. I must admit I gave no ethical or methaphysical interpretation to this composition, but I'll think about it next time. In fact, I'll try your second suggestion of using vertical panels instead of horizontal (I didn't do that before because the axis of the lens coincides with the centre of rotation of the tripod only in the horizontal position) and, just for curiosity, I'll take a one-shot-only picture of the same place from some steps back, just to see better where the differences will be between the two renditions.

ciao.
