Maybe add some yellow to warm it up a bit? I love the comp though, and the clouds contrast nice. The trees just seem to me to be too dark. But I'm no expert. I like it and I struggle with the same things.

Great suggestion, Brian! The version above is a little warmer (less blue, more yellow) than the previous one. Someday I'll get the hang of this digital thing - but I'll always be a 'film guy'. (As long as they keep making Velvia, that is.)

Rich, there's not a lot left to say here. It all works - nice lines, good proportions and LF doing exactly what it should. If I were determined to find a nit, I think that it looks a little oversharpened but only a little.
