andy e 1 Posted October 27, 2004 Very nice, Jenna. Don't what you did, but keeping doing it with your B/W renderings. The tones I've seen in your last few posts have been outstanding. Compositionally, this works very nicely but I have two small quibbles. First, the little spots of light in the window and, second, the little sliver of the balcony (?) that you see about 2/3 the way up the right hand edge. I'd either try getting the whole corner of the balcony in or shave a little more off the right side. But still a nice image all the way round. Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Hi Andy, I'm pretty much indifferent on this one. I do like the tones and the composition is okay, but I'm not sure there is enough going on here to interest anyone. I think the two window spots are indoor lights and you are right about the "sliver" on the right. Thanks! Link to comment
andy e 1 Posted October 28, 2004 No problem. Hope you don't think I'm being too picky. By the way, I'm glad to see you posting some stuff in the w/nw threads on the Leica forum. I find those threads, along with the similar one in "Street and Documentary" to be a great way of getting a handle on your stuff. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,753 Posted December 9, 2004 This is one of my favorites in you portfolio. Looks to me like our Native American friend has been left out in the cold once more. Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted December 9, 2004 Thanks Mike, This is one I'll likely reshoot my next trip to Santa Fe. Still indifferent on this one, but maybe I can make it better. As for Native Americans being left out in the cold? I agree. Some are doing better due to casinos here, but much depends on where the reservations are located. Those not located near a city are still mostly poverty stricken. Unfortunately due to photography restrictions I have not done any shoots to those I've visited. Link to comment
