alight 0 Posted November 3, 2006 This landscape photo is quite different from so many other mountain landscapes. Those usually show a lake, river, lots of green stuff in the foreground, clouds, or snow. And you, Dave, you show mud. While others show beauty in the foreground, you show stuff that people try to rinse out of their swimming wear as soon as they can, after a swim. While some others show nicely lit flowers that make one feel like eating them, you show stark sediment. In fact, this whole picture is very stark, except for the warm light hitting the mountains. I wouldn't even try to walk through that stuff and you take a picture of it. They might have shot Lord of the Rings here, as a Mordor landscape. Yet it works very well for this image.
