jessica_ulm3 2 Posted October 20, 2004 I am in love with it, but I can not figure out why. The little moon compositionally balancing out the Earth, maybe? It's not "pretty" like most landscapes - just so deeply pleasing. Link to comment
johannes_felten 0 Posted October 20, 2004 - Probably because of the texture of the sky. It has a very cool, soothing and also mystifying atmosphere about it. The composition is also perfect. Link to comment
james_wallace3 0 Posted October 20, 2004 I think the overexposure of the steeple adds a nice dramatic effect. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 20, 2004 The moon was there when all this mountain was below the sea, when the glacier covered it all, and now that this is melting. I like it. I like it because we usually think as mountains as timeless, but this contrast relativises even the Alps. Link to comment

delp 0 Posted October 20, 2004 Really, I'd never think this -finally quite simple- picture would create such a poetic mood ... Thank you all for your kind comments.I just wanted to add that this picture was NOT a photo-montage.Salvatore, I think you can confirm that in summer, the moon rises just above this switch, and is visible from the valley. ;-) Link to comment
danielwoodrum 0 Posted October 21, 2004 very nice... i think it's so captivating because the earth looks like the moon's surface. Link to comment
