Excellent.

I am in love with it, but I can not figure out why. The little moon compositionally balancing out the Earth, maybe? It's not "pretty" like most landscapes - just so deeply pleasing.

- Probably because of the texture of the sky. It has a very cool, soothing and also mystifying atmosphere about it. The composition is also perfect.

I think the overexposure of the steeple adds a nice dramatic effect.

The moon was there when all this mountain was below the sea, when the glacier covered it all, and now that this is melting.

 

I like it. I like it because we usually think as mountains as timeless, but this contrast relativises even the Alps.

I just wanted to add that this picture was NOT a photo-montage.
Salvatore, I think you can confirm that in summer, the moon rises just above this switch, and is visible from the valley. ;-)
