jenna_g 0 Posted October 20, 2004 Thanks Jean Pierre, I shot this from every concievable angle all with various reflections. I preferred this angle because of the passing car and the visibility of the mirror. It's an extremely busy photo! Link to comment
andy e 1 Posted October 20, 2004 Glad to see you posted this one, Jenna. As I told you before, it's excellent in every respect. Link to comment

jenna_g 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Yes she does have that "damsel in distress" pose which I found rather amusing. Link to comment

behel 0 Posted October 25, 2004 this is brilliant, jenna, but why did you rotate it ccw ? tmo, the original comp is easier to read, stronger, and... just so good as it is. Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Actually I didn't rotate this at all. I took several other angles, but have not posted any of them. I'll try another in a few days for comparison. Thanks again Behel! Link to comment
behel 0 Posted October 26, 2004 i don't get it, jenna. i mean, the image is rotated in itself, independently of which angle you've chosen to shoot. so, i think the angle could work if we had no reference to the actual horizontality and verticality. but the rotated car, street, door lines, wall angles are here to put us back to reality, making it, i think, more difficult to read. in the contrary, if you rotate it 90° cw and put things back in order, we have a strong feeling that she's trying to escape by creeping on the floor to the door. but there's nobody out there to help her. only a blurred car, the blur suggesting that it's moving fast, will pass by, and won't stop for her. now, the street, the car, the door, everything gets a real meaning instead of being an annoyance, or simply being useless to the meaning of the pic. and this is very strong ! tmo, pretty much stronger than what we see here. only my two cents, jenna, of course, but i really feel like this is a strong image made weaker. jenna_g 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Okay Behel now I understand what you are saying. It makes more sense now. I never realy thought about rotating this, but I'll see what it looks like. Thanks again! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2004 ok, so I am alittle late. Wow! I havent read the rotation comment but I cant imagine this being any better. incredible find and perspective. Knicki Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted October 27, 2004 I rotated this on PS and I kind of like it that way. Thanks for the suggestion Behel! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Superb... Only one thing: why not a vertical orientation of the photo...? Seems stronger to me... Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted February 14, 2005 Agree. It was suggested earlier in this thread and it does make it much stronger. Link to comment
