This is a self-portrait I did with a tripod and automatic timer on my camera. Then, when I got the photo, I put it on the scanner and laid the leaves right on top of it. I scanned it, then put it in

I like the eye-tint, and overall it looks pretty good, but the leaves covering part of your mouth and a lot of your forehead seem to dimish the image.

For some reason I think it would have worked better with your head tilted to the left. May want to try again with the leaves covering less of your face.

I think its pretty cool, never seen it done before. In the fall try to use some fall color leaves, reds, yellow, and orange. nice blue eyes!

Well, I was going to write a comment about how did you do this? Is it composite, but then I read your title. I think it's interesting, try making some more. Try one with the leaves all around your face, and some with less leaves and some with more. Kudos to you for trying something like this... I'll have to try it sometime.

This photo is just disturbing, I'm not sure why. That's in no way to say it is bad -- however, I would never want this photo hung anywhere I'd have to think about it staring at me. I like the leave close to the eye, but the one headed up the nose give a comic effect that I don't believe contributes successfully. Very claustraphobic and disturbing. I think the stare in the eyes makes me think of Laura Palmer in TwinPeaks (a corpse).

Lorraine, a very nice and fresh effort, I must say. Although not a 100% camera work, but in todays world of digital imaging, I believe it should be acceptable. You could have "uncovered" a little bit more of your face though ;)). Keep up the good work.

as a border on a B/W photo, i think it would work better with a slight colouring with Autumn colours would enhance it, you have wonderful eyes that certainly shines through
