Natasha, this is a stunning image... You are very pretty... and your gorgeous eyes hold viewers' attention so strongly... that viewers may not even recognize those withered flowers for a while. You must have intended to send some messages to the viewers through withered flowers. I don't know what those are... only guess! But what is certain is that these flowers do not compete against you or distract. They rather strengthen your beauty through contrast and add mystery to this wonderful portrait. My advice: Replace your pic on bio page with this one.

Agree with Brad, this should be your bio pic. As fresh as rain water, your eyes suggest, yet with strength and conviction. Great contrast against the wiltering flowers!

..your comments help me to understand myself better perhaps..

Terry no..fortunately nobody died..in the literate sense at least;)

Are the flowers your OLD self? Do they represent the past left behind? Do the freshness and the look represent determination to do things different in te future? If so my prayers go with you...

the flowers are you, and us ( the viewers ). the contrast you make through your expression is a kin to accept the fate, once we bloom and once we fade. some in life will go with a flow of the river-passive, some will swim against. a few will stand on the side and with bright eyes watch the fate unfold, you know who the few are. fight time ! and "rage, rage against the dying of the light".

Great colors job here, Natasha, its a very good thing to see a "b&w" photographer doing so well with colors. About the meaning, metaphore on this one, i think i know, its not at all poetic love/death/life explication; the flowers are missing water, as the photograph spending time to take photos of herself, she forgot to take a shower....... Its that simple!

You found a nice model to work with. Her attitude needs a little work but I think she has potential.

Beautiful. A stunning portrait. You'd think that for as long as I've stared at this picture, I'd have more to say...

I am not too drawn to the image itself (may just be me), but I think the colors you have here are quite spectacular. Congratulations!!

your eyes will never get withered. I like withered flowers. The picture is easy-seeing and meaningful at the same time. The composition is on the spot - I see the red starting point, then blue spots in pinky surround, then white and yellow. All on black background. I find the controversion between the upper and lower part and this is the point of the whole idea - from it goes contradiction of colours and then of meanings. Yet they hopelessly are in inseparable junction, like life and death...:) great simple work, Natasha.:) Thank you. Yours truly.

Gorgeous. The stark contrast between your face and the withered flowers is a master stroke. Methinks the withered flowers are a metaphor for your own perceptions of yourself, but I may be wrong. Its an excellent image.

Might also be titled: A Rose with Withered Daisies. Hard to believe this lovely woman is half-girl, half dream from long ago.

I've read through all the comments that have been left against this image, and cant help but feel that this is what I believe PN is all about. Unfortunately, we just dont see this kind of commentary on nearly enough images so I was so happy to stumble across this wonderful portrait.

I was just coming up with the same conclusion expressed by Pogue, that the daisies were infact a relflection of Natasha's inner being. For whatever reason you are/were feeling withered Natasha, I hope the interest you have generated in your work by so many people has helped to breath new life into those flowers :)

Wonderful wonderful work.

No one knows what it's like,

To be the bad man,

To be the sad man,

Behind blue eyes.

What's behind your blue eyes, Natasha?
