Nice shot. The pose is interesting, the colors good. You managed to get the short DOF to line up with it's head - not an easy thing to do. And you even managed some catch light in the eyes - something that sets apart the 'attempts' from the 'succcesses'.

I'm curious what you're using as a lens, though. Macro zoom? extension tubes? closeup filters?

I used a 28-80 Sigma lense, with a macro swith. I also used +1, +2,& +4 cluseup filters. and A high def. Macro attachment that I got with my Rebel. I used a Hot Shoe flash, and difused it was a napkin, and pointed the light with Aluminum foil. Thanks FOr you comments. I appreciate them very much. Feel free to comment on all my other photo's. That's quite the effective amateur setup - sounds like something I'd try to rig up :)

You must have a lot of patience to set everything up AND catch a nice pose like this. Congrats.
