aepelbacher 0 Posted October 17, 2004 What do you think? This is the same image as the previous post ... but I'm trying it in black & white, as suggested by Jen Selwa. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 17, 2004 when i saw this in color, i instantly new this needs to be in B&W. nice capture. i would appreciate if you can give me some thoughts on a similar shot i have. Link to comment
frank_casey1 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Great Photo - The contrast, mountain lines, and composition are excellent. The barn and tree jump out of the photo. Very nice. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Very pleasing composition Lou Ann, this light is perfect, and that stark white tree is a real eye-catcher. Congratulations! 7/7 Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Definitely works in b&w, Lou Ann. Nice contrast with the tree and roof against the grey background. Link to comment
gabriella_lucia 0 Posted October 17, 2004 I still like it and it is a 6-6 but I like the color version a bit better. Both are very good. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Ooohhh... I do like it! I don't think the sky is too dark! Both of these images are super Lou Ann. The B&W really accentuates the tree. NIce job! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Both versions work for me, but I'm with Peter in bias toward color version. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted October 17, 2004 Lou Ann, I do like both, color and B&W. This one works because of the tree and roof. I like the dark sky. Nice shot either way. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 17, 2004 I like the B&W. I think the composition and the typw of subject matter works better with this medium verses color. Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Me too, like the color version. The strength of that one is the color of tree and house contrasting the rest of the world. The attached attempts to make a sronger presentation of that element. The alternated version can put the tree in the dead center, as long as the background mountain follows the 1/3 rule. colin carron 58,916 Posted October 17, 2004 As a confirmed colour person I am fairly predictable BUT for me the starkness of the landscape suits the B&W. Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Nice shot, Lou Ann!! I like the stark white of the tree as a contrast to the barren land. Link to comment
Jenifer Selwa Photography 0 Posted October 18, 2004 Works well in B&W! As contrasty as the image was, the thought of turning it to B&W was the first thing that came to mind - an Ansel print, ya know. Lovely!! :) Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted October 18, 2004 Personally, I like the color version better, although this is nice too. I usually lean to color though. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted October 18, 2004 Hi Lou Ann, I think this image is very well suited for b&w. . . .you have a nice tonal range and high contrast isolating the subject. Link to comment
