reginaldbarras 0 Posted October 17, 2004 thank you jody,,for photographing this,,nice to see a body that is not flawless,,women get to thinking that there bodies are not sexy,,unless its perfect,,but hey, in real life,,men dont care. its the woman inside,, Link to comment
tomfawlsphotography 0 Posted October 20, 2004 I second Reginald's sentiment. This is a great real-life shot. The model's body is all the more beautiful for assimilating the wound. Link to comment
jody frost 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Thank you Reginald and Tom! Your positive statements are all the more meaningful to me because this is a self-portrait and this fairly new hysterectomy scar has been one that has been a bit of an adjustment. It's forcing me to re-frame for myself what is beautiful, what I consider 'flawless'. Link to comment
chris_hawkins 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Trying to separate my physical male comments from my photographic critique comments... Your body is quite attractive and don't worry about the line in your tummy. Seriously, any partner worthy of having doesn't care about it. The image would be strengthened if the upper right hand corner was a little less busy. Perhaps a little better separation between your left arm and breast. I'm not sure how to accomplish this, but something to consider. Link to comment
harish 0 Posted November 8, 2004 I read the comments submitted by other members before i started to write this one. And yes, I will go on with the stream of thought. This picture is beautiful, and a woman needs to know that she is loved not for her "flawless" body but her character. I should also add that on seeing or meeting a woman like you who is not shy of showing what some call "flaw," lust would be the last thing on my mind. Great pic, keep on the good work, pictures and issues like this try to raise so many questions about the fallicies of the human society. Link to comment
micharl_modes 0 Posted December 31, 2006 Wow! what a fully developed body. Beauty, resides in the spirit. Scars are badges of honor for living this difficult life. same with gray hairs. I have many of both and wear them with the honor of a warrior. bravo for your courage to display this photo. Keep growing, your Spirit is strong,Emily Michael R. Moses Link to comment
roy sydiaha 0 Posted February 23, 2007 I didn't notice any flaw, I noticed a strong breast, bicep, tummy, contrast lighting. It's a superb photo. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted January 23, 2009 Just discovered this. As a Straight Guy™ I find three things that make this an excellent image. They are, in ascending order of importance: 1) Very good composition, use of light and b/w tones.2) You have an incredible body.3) My wife has a much worse scar than yours, and it never slowed me up one bit. No freakin' big deal, period. You go, Person. Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted June 15, 2009 this is a wonderfully executed image... goes without saying some torsos are non eventful, others tell a story... yours tells of a life experience that you put yourself "out there" takes grit and a sense of art, you have both your entire portfolio is stunning! I was drawn to this study by the title... thank you for sharing both yourself and your vision Link to comment
