nils_andriessen 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Hi, I'm not going to critique them all at one. Little steps :) This one has great light, lovely tone and a nice pose. So difficult to expose well with white stuff. Lucky you had a white lady here. I love the model, the cap and the cat. Also really would like such drape on my couch ;-) Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted February 28, 2005 I love the way that the cat is looking at the camera, but your model is not! - It produces real humour within a very serious and beautiful "double" portrait! Fantastic! - 6/7 Link to comment
timohicks 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Although you don't say what glass you are using with your work, all the elements balance nicely, especially the contrast or tension between the fixed look of the cat's eyes and the coy stare of the model. Other important directional forces are the model's lower legs and feet pointing in the opposite direction to the vacant portion of the composition helping to counter balance the weight of the model and cat. For me the real subject of this composition are the textures of the sweater, hat, arm of the love seat, throw pillows, cat, and so on; a little too much of which is washed out. Of the hundreds of photographs displayed in your portfolio, this one could stand in a class all it's own. Good work nonetheless. Tim Link to comment
