alex_robinson 0 Posted September 10, 2001 Perfect timing producing an excellent composition. You should be able to sell this one no problem. Link to comment
jvarsoke 0 Posted September 11, 2001 Outsanding composition. I also like absence of clear deliniation between sea and sky. Wouldn't change a thing. Odlitc'no! Link to comment
evrim_icoz 0 Posted October 16, 2001 Great shot. SO many points of interest and there is no one ruining the photo with that many people around! Link to comment
gemccaw 1 Posted May 13, 2002 A capture of a decisive moment worthy of Cartier-Bresson. I'd be interested to know how many frames you exposed to get this one gem. Link to comment
think27 0 Posted March 18, 2003 Either this is an old photo - or you've made it look like one. The action and the way this shot is simple and complex at the same time is very exciting. Link to comment
maria_s. 1 Posted March 27, 2003 I like to come back to this shot (and the Jump in your Children folder). It belongs with the best on photo.net. What are you up to lately? Link to comment
brendan_bullock 0 Posted April 27, 2003 an unbelievable image with a juxtaposed simplicity and complexity - looks classic on the one hand, but very modern on the other. you've got yourself a winning image here. Link to comment
peter_schelling 0 Posted May 5, 2003 There are happening such a lot of things on this photo. Im just deeply impressed. This is almost a movie. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted July 13, 2003 It is indeed like a film or a book comprising a number of chapters; wherever one looks, something different appears to be happening. The high-key exposure works, the parts that require shadow details in order to tell their tale stand out to perfection. It's a real gem of a photograph, well done. Link to comment
bernhard 0 Posted July 14, 2003 It's always reassuring to see one of the pictures I discovered way back to show up as POW, it shows what jewels are hidden in the depth of the gallery pages and it is good to know that some people still dig up the gems. I like this picture because it tells multiple stories in a relaxed way from a slight distance. It has a distinct feeling of being a little older and thus evokes many of my own memories, when I was vacationing in Istria. Link to comment
rob_partridge 0 Posted July 14, 2003 Just lovely. I like the balance. It reminds me of that Escher print of the men endlessly climbing the stairs. Round and round they go, climbing and jumping, climbing and jumping. Well done. Rob Link to comment
auke bonne van der weide 0 Posted July 14, 2003 this is what photography can be, and whow it distinguishes itself from painting-art. Link to comment
nitinvartak 0 Posted July 14, 2003 It is one of those swiimming places found in dreams. really great. Link to comment
mediumformat 2 Posted July 14, 2003 Great to see an image like this -- almost "classic" in motion-freeze and simplicity. The position of the diver in mid-air complements a feeling of weightlessness and flight. The image could probably benefit from some darkroom fine tuning, but it is indeed an oustanding image. Would like to hear about how this image was made. Congrats on POW! Link to comment
marshall 0 Posted July 14, 2003 I'll have to return later for more photographic comment, but does anyone else think that our well-frozen diver isn't going to land well? I do like the shape of the image and the many stories it offers. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 14, 2003 Bloody unreal. It's so perfect I thought it was fake, I actually for a momentlooked closer to see if the people were dolls. Indeed, brilliant. Bravo. And please, let's here the story behind the taking of it. Link to comment
morgan 0 Posted July 14, 2003 Lovely image. Alluring in every way. If somebody comes back with a comment that suggests that it is over exposed, I think I will scream. Link to comment
