John Peri 1,038 Posted October 10, 2004 Wow, this is great! I love the untidy room and the half body you discover when the eye finally settles down when moving from left to right. And the colour is very strategically placed! Jody, please put this up for critic, it's so original. Hopefully, you will get some interesting feedack. Link to comment
kjartan haavik 0 Posted October 11, 2004 Alternative title could be "Crime scene". I think his is an interesting picture, more than it's an aesthetically pleasing picture if you know what i mean. Looking at it.. I just noticed the red shoes. Very symbolical. I suddenly like it alot more. Wow I'm just writing this as i go along aren't I? Great stuff. Link to comment
a. a. 1 Posted October 14, 2004 Such an interesting photograph...kind of like David Lean's films. Thank you for sharing. Cheers Misha Link to comment
a. a. 1 Posted October 26, 2004 Sorry for the mistake. I meant David Lynch not the other one. They are very different directors in style and everything else! Here is a link for you: http://www.davidlynch.de/ Cheers Misha PS: 6/6 Link to comment

jody frost 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Misha! I'm totally flattered that this invokes David Lynch for you! I love his work! My ex-husband and he co-created Twin Peaks back in the mid 90's so I spent some time around him... What an eccentric, what a mind! ;-) Link to comment
vanja 0 Posted November 14, 2008 I guess that the first thing I'd think upon entering here would be "What the hell!" and then "I think sex was nowhere near so violent the last time!!!" :-))) Anyway, this crowding of thing and body parts (legs, but shoes also!!!) is just the right way to go, and you've managed to preserve a bit of humor in it. And that is great! :-) I'd probably leave the red shoes B&W and darken the whole image, but that is just my 5 cents. Great idea! P.S. It also relates very nicely to the mess we all have in our heads regarding sex. Cool! Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted May 2, 2011 Wow...great photo! When I happened upon this one I just burst into laughter...I know that sounds strange but I didn't think anything like what the other responses have been. I didn't see sex or a crime scene or anything at all except for what resembled me and what happens when I am playing and dressing up in new shoes or clothes and trying to come up with something special to wear. The fact that you are on the floor says nothing sexual to me, but rather just another ordinary day when I am tired from trying on clothes and looking for a pair of shoes I must have kicked under the bed!I guess we can all take from a photo what we want to see or experience and I think this photo is just fantastic. You did a great job at staging (even if my perception is different from the others). I just now noticed the title because I was going to say if it were my photo I would have named it Red Shoes. Wonderful job Jody! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing. :) Link to comment
