gauthier 0 Posted September 5, 2001 A mine was an unusual and interesting site to shoot a nude, but you didn't make an optimal use of it. First, there could be more drama in your picture: place the girl beside a cliff or something. As it it, the place appears flat and there isn't much to catch the eye. The sky is empty. Also, the model is looking outside the picture, while it should be looking inwards. Her posture is a bit shy (hiding her genitals or something) and could be more expressive. On the positive side, exposure works well: despite the violent sun, all details are not erased on her skin and there is detail in the darker mine setting. Link to comment
bgc 0 Posted September 5, 2001 A great opportunity wasted. Great idea, but the setting shrieks for more drama, more tension, more contrast, more movement. The model looks like a badly posed statue. Lifeless and almost formless. Contrast between the ravaged mine site and the naked, vital female screams to be exploited. Go back and do it again :-) Link to comment
