ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted October 6, 2004 Comments welcomed. Original in color. As per Norman Perkel's suggestion this one's converted. Red channel used Link to comment

John Peri 1,039 Posted October 6, 2004 Very good graphic work. Wouldn't it be nice in colour too? Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 7, 2004 Love this in B&W too! Just love those window reflections! Neat! Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted October 7, 2004 Very cool looking... Great idea to use the red channel to "neutralize" the red of the fire engine. It almost looks like a retro ambulance rather than a fire truck. Very different and original. I took the liberty (and I hope you don't mind) to take the original image, desaturate it and add a slight "diffusion glow". This adds an even different spin on your very versatile and original photograph. I hope you like it. Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Thanks for the help understanding the use of color channels with regards to their affects on the black and white image. Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted October 11, 2004 perfect desaturation of the original...I like this as much for all the same reason....yet the differents is in perception...colour versus the old age look of black and white Link to comment

ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 16, 2004 Thanks for writing and your comments on this. BTW, regarding the other comment of her photo, you can always edit it. Just a thought Link to comment
tom_appel 0 Posted July 24, 2007 I like this version better than the color shot you posted. I'm not sure why, maybe because in this image the background becomes a non-issue. Nice shot. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted October 10, 2014 Gorgeous shot! I Love the tones, composition and the light reflected in the car. Great work! Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
