Milford Sound, New Zealand

kenghor

Composition of this photograph is somehow determined by the flare caused by the sun. As I'm shooting directly into the sun, it has created unacceptable flare. As such, I've to shade the sun partially with the tree to eliminate it. Although the composition doesn't seem to follow any rules, it works and I like the result.

Dear Wee;

This picture is absolutely magnificent! It must have taken you a lot of work to produce this; it looks like it really paid off!

Also, I really liked the picture in your "favorites" collection featuring the young girl in a red checkered skirt and looking off into the distance.

I got to this shot from your great photo of a guy in a yellow raincoat in the rain. I think both are great!

I'm from NZ, so have seen enough Milford Sound shots to last a lifetime (As you'll have seen, they're in every tourist brochure here!). This is the first fresh one I've seen in long time. Only shame is that to block out the sun, you had to obscure the summit of Mitre Peak (centre). Good on you for tackling this tricky exposure though!
