kevin nesbitt 0 Posted October 3, 2004 Great image... Repost this one in the early day so others get a Chance to see it. Strong powerful statement here that As a father of a Young boy I can relate to. Done well in Sepia. The only thing i would change would be the Title...This beautiful image speaks a thousand words and I think it richly deserves a Title that emphasizes it's emotion. One of my Fav's I seen in a while. Link to comment
stephengalea 0 Posted October 3, 2004 This is one of the great images seen around stating a clear message...Impressive.. Well done..Tone add to the situation and placing of the child is wonderful. 7/7 definitly Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 3, 2004 Very emotional image. Love the bear implies comfort. The fact that the markers are taller than the child adds to the feeling of implied intimidation. Very well thought out! Link to comment
nathan_adams2 0 Posted October 3, 2004 I don't get moved like this very often, but this photo did it!! Definitely one of the most powerful images I've ever seen. Excellent work!!! Link to comment

focus mankind 0 Posted October 4, 2004 "Daddy's flown accross the ocean, leaving just a memory..." came to my mind (Pink Floyd-The wall). Perhaps I interpret the white crosse's as those from a soldier's graveyard... What a strong message - congrats. Link to comment
warren williams 0 Posted October 4, 2004 The black background really helps the crosses to stand out. The framing is also great. On the down side the base of the left cross bothers me a bit - a little messy. However, you've captured a picture here that will definitely reach into the hearts of people right across the globe. Well done Link to comment
alberto.prt 0 Posted October 4, 2004 No words, just great. I'd like to know the guy who rated 3/3 this shot. Regards. Link to comment
navarra 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Well done, but maybe one or two steps back to get the whole child would have helped. A little more light on his dress could make the subject stand out a little more as well. I never liked sepia and don't like it here :) Link to comment
jesus pizarro1 0 Posted October 4, 2004 A hard image full of feeling and sadness, which you have could form very well. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted October 5, 2004 Well done and great emotional impact. I, too, would like the whole child in the composition, but this still works very well, as is. Link to comment
