che-hsiang 0 Posted September 5, 2001 Elegant with great light, nice shot Isaac. But IMHO a vertical format would have worked better. Link to comment
daf 0 Posted September 5, 2001 Agree with the last comment (vertical might have been better) and otherwise the sides are a bit dark. Very nice centre though. Link to comment
isaac sibson 0 Posted September 5, 2001 In fact, I hadn't actually considered the vertical format...I think mainly because the redwoods are so huge that even vertically, you will never get the height in that you want. As for the darkness of the edges, that's due to my laziness, in not readjusting the colour for monitor viewing :-(. When printed on both an Epson Stylus 1520 and an HP 930, the details in the shadows come up. Thanks for your comments! Link to comment
mood 0 Posted September 5, 2001 Ethereal-like quality about this photo. Dreamy I think. Link to comment
lorraine 0 Posted September 11, 2001 Beautiful work, Isaac, I really think you captured the mood of the redwoods. I have been there and it gives me a good feeling to look at your pictures. Good work. Lorraine Foster Link to comment
bluetree images 0 Posted September 16, 2001 The morning mist is incredible. I have a similar shot with the sun lower in the sky. This gives a striking sillouette but with even less shadow detail. Let me know what you think of mine. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=206074 Link to comment
laura_maish 0 Posted October 20, 2001 Isaac, well done. I've never been able to get a decent shot in the redwoods. Here you've used the contrast to your advantage. This photo beautifully captures the mood and majesty of the redwood forest. Link to comment
j._scott_schrader 0 Posted March 19, 2002 This is awesome! I love everything about it. The only thing that I wish could be different is the photo credit. I wish it had my name on it! Nice job! Link to comment
