photobyas 0 Posted October 10, 2004 Hi Audrey, I really like the idea of showing only the lower half of the blossoms. I did not see this before. I just wonder if it would be possible to further improve the photo by adding the upper part of some leave in the lower part of the photo. Right now I feel that the pictures consists of a heavy upper part and fidgety lower part. If you have the chance to try my proposal, I would be interested in the result. BTW, I saw your other pictures of the Chinese garden but just did not have the time to comment on them because I was travelling a lot recently. Best wishes,Anthony Link to comment
photobyas 0 Posted October 10, 2004 Just to prevent any missunderstanding, I really like the picture because of the idea, the colours and the feeling it expresses. My proposal did not mean that I do not think that it is a great picture. Link to comment

audrey lee reid 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Thank you Anthony for your comment. Sorry for the very late come back, have not been too consistent here till recently :) Your comment of the 'heavy top' makes good sense however, this shot was taken in a public park and if I remember correctly, the flowers really didn't have much leaves on them. As for converting to B&W, I love B&W, but in view of the other rich colours near by, I stayed true to the sea of rich hues. Thank you again for taking the time. Alan, I thank you too. Link to comment
