jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Bottom of the Up stairs. A architects view. Under the stairs often has a dark conotation to it and the contrast of the natural lit windows is great. I also like the very unbroken cieling as contrast to all the other shapes and lines. Very Intriguing. Link to comment
mspanakis 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Funny, you may say, but I really think that little column on the left with its highlight makes the picture. I am fixed on it, and every other line guides me to it. Link to comment

armindo_lopes 1 Posted October 1, 2004 I like that diagonal across the frame... Nice tones and lighting. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 2, 2004 Pnina, wonderfully different, I would never have thought of this! The light and colours are superb. From a balance point of view I think I would prefer to crop about a quarter of the ceiling part (about one tenth of the whole frame height) as it seems a little too much. From a 'meaning' point of view stairs seem to symbolise aspiration or ascending and here, with the ceiling so prominent, it seems to say that what the viewer is climbing up to is hidden. But the golden light and windows indicate that it is very pleasant up there! Maybe a golden future? Let's hope so! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 2, 2004 Colin, Thanks!!for your detailed point of view that I always glad to get.I tryed your suggestion about the crop of ceiling, but IMO it reduces the impression of what is hidden up there...and if you look again of the parts division, you will see that the windows are situated at the " golden theird", which from a composition point of view is the right crop. Thanks again Colin. Pnina Link to comment
