Mother and baby....

What a wonderful subject. I wonder if increasing the contrast would add more drama

Ditto on the comment above. What a beautiful image. My brother's wife is going to have a baby soon, and I hope to capture an image like this for them. What sort of lighting did you use, by the way?

Really nice picture! I find that it invokes alot of thoughts about mother and child, human reproduction and populations, etc, etc. Thoughts positive and negative.

 

The small dark area on the edge of the photo near the upper left corner draws my eye - I would probably try to remove it with cropping or image editing.

It was alittle tough to take the picture because the little guy would not be still. Once we gave up on getting a full shot of the child, the hand image was a nice option. We used a pillow and with white sheet covering with a typical halogen home lighting lamp.

This image has special meaning to me... I was lucky enough to be there when my son was born, and the first thing he did when they let me near him was to hold my fingers. Thanks for the wonderful image!
