This photo was taken along the Eastern Border of Yosemite National Park. Low hanging clouds over the High Sierra Crest (created by an unusually cold weather) were lit up brilliantly by the rising sun.

All comments are welcome. Thank you.

JAY, This is a spectacular shot!! 7/7 to begin saying about it! Then comes depth that added by the trees and valley exposed so well that we feel the vastness of the place, drama added because of light on the clouds and mountains.Just a superb shot, a true landscape shot jay!My favorite out of all your shots!! 7/7!

Stunning light. Wow! Beautiful picture!

IMHO..I am not convinced about the white border though...distracts.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking time to critique this photograph.

Tuhin: It was really cold (~40F) that morning and windy (~20mph wind) on the ridge that I was standing. And there were sporadic freezing raindrops that forced me to hold my hand against the lens for protection. By the time I was done taking photos my hands were frozen. And I agree...It was one the most beautiful and breathtaking mornings!!

Very large spacial coverage in this shot. I like the feeling of distance you've captured. For me, lighting and cloud cover hanging over the mountain rim-line is icing on the cake.
