james_p.gavioli 0 Posted September 2, 2001 When I first saw this photo, it looked like it was taken with a Widelux, rotating lens camera -- apparently not, but a well composed panoramic! Link to comment
dr._steven_bein 0 Posted September 3, 2001 I hate to complain, but it seems like a snap shot photo with the subject bullseyed in the center. I would have preferred to have strength at one end to lead the eyes from the subject. As it is, the strong tree centered leaves me wishing for a stronger subject at the ends.Panoramics are not easy, but they can be spectacular. Keep at it. In a similar manner to any photo, the centering of the subject can seem less rather than more.I shoot panoramics and have done the same, so don't feel alone. I just try to avoid centering unless it is something like a sports arena with the court/field,whatever is centered deliberately and the sweep makes it feel right. In those cases, off center did not work to my eye. Link to comment
