Landrum Kelly 65 Posted October 1, 2004 Very good but definitely could be better with some space. A lenticular cloud this brilliant deserves a number of shots and angles. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 3, 2004 As some other souls mentioned above, I think one could have done more justice to that impressive cloud and odd-shaped tree by laying on the ground and using the tree to frame the cloud. I understand the "kiss" you tried to achieve, but I fear it does not work so terribly well, and the lower right branch is too bright and unfortunatly distracting. Link to comment
thielges 0 Posted December 6, 2004 Normally one would want to separate the two subjects here. But I like the way that they contact. It suggess some kind of contest or tug of war. Link to comment
paul_rebmann 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Well I don't understand people who say this shot is NOT outstanding. Everyone has his own opinion ok. For me it is a very nice and unique photo. Excellent work ! Best regards, Paul Link to comment
andrew_sacco 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Hate to be the poop on the platter, but I find it unappealing. Too much post processing artifacts around the tree and clouds, unless that's just computer noise I'm seeing. Light in the foreground with a completely black tree and hill behind it doesn't make sense, seems impossible and too contrived. Composition doesn't work very well, too cliche. Sorry. Link to comment
warimages 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Devendra, I think it is a fantastic image. The lighting is great and it?s unique. Top work Congratulations! 7/7 from me. Link to comment

john dawson 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Next time if this was with a digital camera I would take dozens of shots of this. The idea is there and yes it is very striking, but if you were able I would (well I wouldn't - I would have probably have been pleased with the shot but we are talking from benefit of hindsight) have walked around the tree to adjust the angle and the cross over with the cloud. Possibly the adrenalin of the shot and lack of time made you forget to concentrate on the composition I'll give you 7 for originality as I doubt there are any similar photos around and 5 for aesthetics which may be a little harsh.
