Very nice. Many photos have been taken from this general area in Grand Teton National Park, but it is obvious that you have pressed on to find a better spot from which to compose your picture. The fog hanging in the background adds a nice touch. It actually, in my opinion, creates a layer of depth to the picture. Nicely done, Miles.

Beautiful composition. I especially like the descending slope on the left and its ascending shadow below. Of course, the colors and light are gorgeous.

Lovely shot Miles. This composition feels much more comfortable to me than the more conventional Oxbow shot with its triangular foreground bank. I would have definitely shot it this way too. The layering is great: lake, waterline, trees and mountains, with the fog acting very nicely as tissue paper between the last two :p

The composition is great and the subject stunning, but what really works -also for me- is th way the fog connects the two world, the lake and the snowy peaks...

Here I'm refering to a split neutral density filter. It is grey on top and fades to clear on bottom. It's used in a holder which allows its position to be adjusted up or down. Normally its used to darken the top of an exposure to prevent overexposing the sky.
