shamik 0 Posted October 4, 2004 thanks Tina for liking the shot. it's the only critique i'v got so far for the only photograph i have posted. for some reason the site is not accepting the other photographs i have attempted to upload. Link to comment
suman 0 Posted November 10, 2004 Shamik, I think you could have shot the window itself, thi ssmall kid with the broken window can be a much better shot. The wall is not adding anything to this shot IMO. Link to comment
shamik 0 Posted November 10, 2004 Dear Suman...i kind of understand what you mean. But i included the wall primarily for two reasons: 1) for the intricate designs on it, 2) for the cracks in it and the way the little guy seem to be hemmed/walled in within those cracks. I had this little story going on in my mind when i clicked. Thanks so much for taking so much of interest in my folder. I hope to include a shot similar to what you desired for soon. Link to comment
ignacio izquierdo 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Just Lovely. The composition in my opinion is great, because all the space in the right gives room for the boy to look at and it tells lot of things. Great. :) Link to comment
sergio_varona 0 Posted December 22, 2004 Very good. Simple but effective 6/6. Good contrast, good tonal range, interesting texture nice expression and fine composition Link to comment
iyeraditya 0 Posted December 17, 2005 This is by far the most expressive and the most narrative picture i have come across on this site. It beats your village girl in a frame picture. Love the position of the the window (off to the side) and his eyes, and the composition of the shot as a whole. I would love to see a color version if u have one (from which you possibly desaturated ?). Its a great picture nonetheless, great story telling -- 8/7. Link to comment
