This is a well taken shot. Unfortunately it, the stance etc... duplicates the famous shot of Boggart. It's too bad that such talent could not be used to create something unique. ( Just my opinion )

Hi, Jim. I like the picture. It reminds of the 30's and 40's - I've seen pics of my parents when they were young adults - The sepia tone, the hat, the pose, even the cigarette, all seem to contribute toward that theme. It also reminds me of the 'serial' TV shows of the 40's. Terrific job. I love the pic.

Posed or not, payed for or not, I still like this image. The important thing in a photograph is the story. Does the image tell you something? If it does, than it is good enough. Then you can go down the technicality slope and see what could have been done differently. Nice shot.

This picture is one of those exceptions where the dynamics of art (in this case the complimentary dynamics expressed by the duo grading system) are found to be off kilter. What I don't get most of all with this shot is why the photographer didn't just hump it down to skid row and get the real McCoy. Then he'd have something to show off, or close to it.

I, too, find the frame (and all that implicitly goes with it) a bit much, but I would not grade down on the picture for that. It does make me wonder, however, where this guy's ego lives, and causes me to scratch my head in deep wonder: Where is this site coming from with POW's?

There is original expression around here to choose from, and in abundance. All one need do is click on the recent uploads to find it, or follow numerous links provided by comments, etc. Why not pick some of that work to showcase instead of this over-hyped pap canned in Marin?
