stumpf 0 Posted September 25, 2004 Ahmet, this would be much better without the land in the background. Also, a deepening of the contrast would help. I like the closeness of the water and the tilt. It is enough to be purposeful and yet not too much to be disorienting. Simple and lonesome. Mike Link to comment

stumpf 0 Posted September 25, 2004 Steve, why must the horizon be straightened? Wouldn't that be rather boring? I think the tilt gives the viewer a floating/bobbing effect. I don't believe Ahmet was after a capture of reality, but rather the conveying of a feeling. When you look at a singular object, is it off to the side of your vision, or is it right in front of you?
